LEMON GRASS OIL
Lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus) is a tall, perennial grass native to the tropical and sub-tropical climates of Asia, Australia and Africa. In India, this grass is found in the Western Ghats and the north eastern mountain regions.
This oil is obtained by steam distillation from fresh and partially dried grass.
It has a sweet lemon aroma and is used in cooking and brewing of tea. Lemon Grass is rich in vitamins & minerals and used in Thai cuisine. In traditional Indian medicine, this oil has a long history of use against infectious illness and fevers. Lemongrass oil has a powerful, citrus scent and is often found in soaps and other personal care products. Lemongrass is used as a natural remedy to heal wounds and help prevent infection. Lemongrass is also a common ingredient in herbal teas and supplements for nausea. Lemongrass is traditionally used to treat high cholesterol and manage heart disease. Lemongrass essential oil may help reduce the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, most likely due to its anti-inflammatory properties.

Usage:
To use lemongrass in aromatherapy, add up to 12 drops of Lemon Grass oil to 1 tsp carrier oil, such as coconut oil, sweet almond oil, or jojoba oil. Mix into a warm bath or massage into the skin.
